An interesting and controversial diet book with a title that any red-blooded male can appreciate.

For many of us, adopting the Warrior Diet will require a radical shift in meal times, but the benefits of intermittent fasting (IF) can definitely be worth it. Ori’s fasting protocol is commonly compared online with the Leangains principals, and you’ll find more up-to-date research on IF there.

Many of Ori’s ideas verge on romanticism with warrior cultures of the past, and many of his points are not scientifically backed, however, nutritional science is inconsistent at the best of times so we recommend you give this one a read. Back when Ori wrote this, the lipid hypothesis was in full swing, and as such, he unfairly demonizes dietary fat – we recommend pairing the reading of The Warrior Diet with Gary Taubes ‘Why We Get Fat‘ to bring the nutrition up to speed.

You definitely won’t forget the teachings in The Warrior Diet, for better or worse.
